Starring: Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Seth Rogan, Bill Hader, Christopher Mintz-Plasse

Director: Greg Mottola

Our heroes of this urban tale are three typically socially incompetent, un-cool teenage males. There’s the overweight but funny guy, the shy sidekick and the outright four – eyed nerd. Occupying the majority of their thoughts are two basic things, graduating from high school and getting some action of the female variety!

Starting off on a simple trip to buy some booze for a party they end up on an amazingly hilarious yet also convincingly life changing journey that continues through the night.

It is extremely rare to get the combination of dirty teen humour with a refreshing touch of plausible drama and hats off to director Greg Mottola and screenwriters Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg for doing the impossible.

Mixing classic comedy lines like “I’ve just realised that the best way to hide a boner is to stick it under the elastic of my shorts!” with believable dramatic moments is a key ingredient in SUPERBAD’s success. Add to this the wonderful performances all round, plus a stand out nerd of the year performance by Christopher Mintz-Plasse. His character Fogell decides to call himself “McLovin” on his fake driver’s license and then almost gets nabbed for nearly having sex with an underage girl – how hilariously ironic is that!

A great night out for anyone with a wicked funny bone!
