During the Royal Dinner, the Dowager Countess (Maggie Smith) is informed by Lady Maud (Imelda Staunton) that her maid, Lucy Smith (Tuppence Middleton), will be her heir upon her passing, leaving the Countess in utter disbelief by Maud’s decision.
