Synopsis
3 BACKYARDS is the story of three residents of the same town over
the course of one apparently perfect autumn day.
Written and directed by Eric Mendelsohn, the film is an intensive
study that looks deeply into the private lives of its characters as
they go about their personal journeys that will eventually take them
large distances from everything that is familiar.
Shot on location on Long Island, New York, Elias Koteaz plays John,
a businessman who has marital problems and gets lost on a business
trip in the town. Housewife Peggy (Edie Falco) gives her celebrity
actress neighbour (Enbeth Davidtz) a lift that detours into
unsettling territory, and a young girl (Rachel Resheff) steals her
mother's jewellery that leads to repercussions.
