Synopsis

Re-released on a new print that has been digitally restored, DISTANT VOICES, STILL LIVES is directed by British director Terrence Davies and depicts a vivid picture of working-class life in the 40s and 50s. It centres on a Liverpudlian family under the influence of a stern, violent father backed by a soundtrack representative of popular songs from that period.
