As he grows up he learns what every Waodani understands, he must spear and live or be speared and die. Mincayani's world changes when he and his family kill five missionaries. This incident is the cause of a transformation from the violence they live by to eventually caring for the enemy tribe they used to violently raid. One of the late missionaries sons' Steve Saint (Chad Allen) was a boy when his father Nate was killed by Mincayani. He returns to the Waodani as an adult and finally learns what happened during the last minutes of his father's life. |
