Synopsis

FAREWELL, HOME SWEET HOME revolves around the lives of a wealthy, eccentric family. The mother (Lily Lavina) has a high powered job, flies around in a helicopter making business deals and has lavish dinner parties accompanied by a pet stork who entertains the guests! The father (played by the director Otar Ioseliani) is totally different and stays at home closeted in a room with a train set. Their son (Nico Tarielashvili), instead of going to school leaves for work every day to do a menial job and meet up with his friends (low lifes) and tries to pick up a girl (Stephanie Hainque) in a bar across the road. The rich try to be poor and the poor rich, each character wanting to be someone or somewhere else.
