It all seemed to start with the horrific and unexplained crash of the space shuttle. Rescue workers and those originally in contact with the wreckage started to uncharacteristically alter their behaviour. Highly contagious it spread into an epidemic. When Bennell discovers the origins of the epidemic are extraterrestrial - it attacks victims when they are asleep, leaving them physically unscarred but mentally feeling coldly unemotional and inhuman - it becomes difficult to identify who can be trusted. Bennell must now stay awake for as long as is necessary to locate her young son, who may hold the key to stopping this deadly invasion and save mankind. |
