Synopsis
Acclaimed filmmaker Zach Snyder makes his animation debut with
LEGEND OF THE GUARDIANS: THE OWLS OF GA'HOOLE. Based on the beloved
Guardians of the Ga'Hoole books by Kathryn Lasky, this fantasy,
family adventure centres on Soren (voiced by young British actor Jim
Sturgess), a young owl who is captivated by his father's epic
stories of the Guardians of Ga'Hoole - a mythic band of winged
warriors that fought a great battle to save all owls from the evil
Pure Ones.
Soren dreams of joining his heroes much to his older brother Kludd's
(Ryan Kwanten - TRUE BLOOD) scornful remarks, who instead tries to
hunt, fly and steal his father's favour from the younger Soren. One
night Kludd's jealous actions cause both owlets to fall from their
treetop home and unfortunately into the waiting talons of the Pure
Ones.
Whilst in captivity, Soren seizes the chance to make a daring escape
with the help of some other brave, young owls. Teaming up, they soar
through the mist searching for the Great Tree that's the home of the
legendary Guardians. Soren's knows this is his only hope of
defeating the Pure Ones and saving the owl kingdoms.
The movie will also be presented in 3D opening in both theatres and
IMAX.
