Synopsis
Set in New York City, detectives Christopher Danson and P K
Highsmith (Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L Jackson) are the meanest but
most idolised cops in the city. They don’t get tattoos – other
men get tattoos of them. However, in the same police department
sitting just behind them, and well out of the limelight, are two
other detectives Allen Gamble (Will Ferrell) and Terry Hoitz (Mark
Wahlberg).
Tough detective Hoitz unfortunately got stuck with paper pusher
Danson and they’ve stayed in the background ever since. Then
unexpectedly a seemingly innocuous case none of the other detectives
can be bothered with turns into the city’s biggest crime. It’s
the opportunity of their lives to be the heroes, as opposed to
“the Other Guys.”
