Synopsis

Based on a true story, the film ia about Evelyn Ryan (Julianne Moore) who is a devoted housewife and mother of ten in living the 1950s. Her husband Kelly (Woody Harrelson) can't seem to make ends meet. It is Evelyn who defies the conventions of the time and finds a way to keep her family together. Using her remarkable resourcefulnes and an uncommon wit, Evelyn finds her way in the profitable jingle contest popular in the 1950s and 60s.
