Synopsis
Valerie (Amanda Seyfried) is young and beautiful and torn between
two men. Her parents have arranged her marriage to the wealthy Henry
(Max Irons) but she has fallen in love with Peter (Sholih
Fernandez). Valerie and Peter are planning to elope when they hear
the tragic news that a werewolf has killed Valerie’s older sister.
The beast haunts the forest encircling their village but has always
left the humans alone accepting the villagers’ monthly animal
sacrifice until now. Instead it has upped the stakes and this angers
the people
.
The villagers are out for revenge and call in renowned werewolf
hunter Father Solomon (Gary Oldman) who warns the people that the
werewolf who takes human form during the day could be any one of
them. As the death toll rises with each moon, Valerie instinctively
suspects that the werewolf could be someone she lives...
