Synopsis
Each year, several million single women in America move into an
apartment. They won’t know who the previous tenants were, they
don't know their landlords, and it won’t occur to them to change
the locks.
This is the story of one such woman...
After separating from her adulterous husband, the beautiful Dr
Juliet Devereau (Hilary Swank) moves into a luxurious loft apartment
in Brooklyn, NY and starts to enjoy her new life. Gradually she
becomes aware of mysterious occurrences and she instinctively begins
to suspect that she is not alone in her home. All too quickly her
fears become a nightmarish reality.
