Synopsis

Featuring an award-winning performance from Julia Jentsch (THE EDUKATORS, DOWNFALL), this seminal film traces the extraordinary, traumatic and heroic true-life story of anti-Nazi icon Sophie Scholl.

As Hitler waged his war of terror across Europe, Sophie Scholl, a 21-year-old student from Munich, joined the ‘Weiße Rose’ (White Rose), the legendary resistance group dedicated to publicising the atrocities of the Third Reich and the Nazi regime. The only female member of the group, Sophie Scholl fought passionately against horrific injustice. She left her mark on German history but paid the ultimate price.
