Thorny, Mac, Rabbit, Foster and Farva - played by Broken Lizard members Jay Chandrasekhar, Steve Lemme, Erik Stolhanske, Paul Soter and Kevin Heffernan - are Vermont State Troopers who act more like fraternity brothers in uniform...with mustaches, badges, guns, handcuffs, sirens and a blow up doll. Well actually, make that Thorny, Mac and Foster as the fraternity brothers, Rabbit as the lowly pledge and Farva as the guy who just doesn't get it. Committed to pranks and a love of syrup, the SUPER TROOPERS have turned arrest into an art form and become specialists at screwing mottorist's minds while screwing up on the job. True, they might take your car out of the impound lot for a joy ride: stage a hold up just for the hell of it; or come up with some ingenious ways to use their 'equipment', but overall these guys are about justice...with a twist. And they were trained by the best - their crusty mentor and leader Captain O'Hagan, played by Brian Cox (RUSHMORE, BRAVEHEART). To a SUPER TROOPER, the only thing better than a good prank is one-upping arch rivals - the Spurbury Local Police, led by Chief Grady, played by Daniel Von Bargen (O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU?, THE GENERAL'S DAUGHTER). The Locals, with the exception of Officer Ursula Hanson, played by Marisa Coughlan (FREDDY GOT FINGERED, TEACHING MRS TINGLE), are always in the way of a good time. But the town isn't big enough for both police forces. Budget cuts mean one force will have to go, and odds are that means the Trooper should start reading the 'want ads'. Aware of the fact that their heads are on the chopping block, the SUPER TOOPERS try to play by the rules. But with Farva on the road and the potential for pranks ever present, the outlook is grim. That is until a dead body, a stash of pot and an obscene little monkey enter the scene. The SUPER TROOPERS sping into action, but they are not the onlu suoer sleuths in town. The local police are also on the case - in more ways than one. A race to the wire ensues as oth forces try to save their jobs bu solving tbhe case and impressing Governor Jesman, played by Lynda Carter (WONDER WOMAN).
