With Gulley now living with her ex-husband David (Matt Ross), an alcoholic, and his overbearing mother Abigail (Lois Smith), Kailey is determined to win enough money to move to Canada and start a new life there with her son. Occasionally travelling into New York City to try her luck at Quinn's, a hardcore pool hall run by Teddy Quinette (Rip Torn), Kailey must play to win a match against the best player at Quinn’s, Duncan (John Juback) if she has any chance of realizing her dream. |
