Synopsis
Kate Beckinsale, star of the first two films, returns in her lead
role as the vampire warrioress Selene, who escapes imprisonment to
find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence
of both Vampire and Lycan clans, and are conducting an all-out war
to eradicate both immortal species.
Six months after the events of Underworld: Evolution, Selene (Kate
Beckinsale) was captured by humans. Eventually both government
officials and the public learn about the existence of the two
immortal species of Vampires and Lycans (werewolves). A crusade and
all-out war has begun: study and eradicate. After being imprisoned
in cryogenic suspension for 12 years, Selene manages to escape the
facility.
