Synopsis

Writer/director Giuseppe Tornatore (CINEMA PARADISO) helms this haunting drama of mystery and love about a Russian woman named Irena (Xenia Rappoport) who calculatedly insinuates herself into the lives of the young, affluent, Italian Adacher family.

Determined to stop at nothing to become Valeria (Claudia Gerini) and Donato Adacher's (Pierfrancesco Favino) trusted maid and the beloved nanny to their fragile young daughter (Clara Dossena), Irena risks everything in her quest to uncover the truth about the family.
