But this time he has gone too far for his long time girlfriend Doreen (Eva Mendes) and best friend Reyes (Jacob Vargas) who shun him. While inside serving his sentence he resolutely decides to straighten his life out once and for all and on his release takes a job at the Shady Grove retirement hotel. As he settles in he get to know some of the residents - Boyd (Seymour Cassel), Skip (Harry Dean Stanton) and Nasher (Kris Kristofferson) who persuade him to try and win back his girlfriend. In does them a favour in return and takes on the hotel's evil head nurse Neil King (Owen Wilson) and his right-hand man, McTeague (Eddie Griffin). Written and co-directed by Luke Wilson. |
