Alkaline Trio – Burn

Single Review by Mark Bayross

Taken from their CRIMSON album, BURN sees our favourite Satanist Matt Skiba and cohorts on sterling form, with chunky riffs and a rousing chorus backed by a polished production job. None of which has done Green Day or Funeral For A Friend any harm.

It’s backed by a number of very different remixes: reborn as ska (courtesy of Rancid’s Tim Armstrong), trippy Aphex-style electro-noise (step forward 65daysofstatic) and stripped down and piano-heavy (a surprisingly restrained Test Icicles).
