Emerging from the fraught claustrophobia of a trio containing one recently split couple, singer Jesse and guitarist Sean, this song was originally called (WHAT’S THE POINT IN) MAKING MUSIC, and presumably sounded somewhat more abrasive than this saccharine effort.
Nonetheless, there is still a bittersweet feel to this, but the lounge beats and harmony-drenched chorus produces fairly uneventful MOR results. The remix by 4Hero adds STRAWBERRY FIELDS-style keyboards but not much else, while exclusive track NIGHT & DAY adds to the pastoral Baccharach vibe.
