Review by EDF

Curtis Lynch Jr has worked with the best from Beenie Man to the Gorillaz. THE CHASE, which features Dyanna Fearon and DJ Swing, is remixed into a garage track. Whereby the original version feels like it was recorded during a STARSKY AND HUTCH car chase is also included here and is taken from Lynch’s album THE GUEST LIST.

Review by Mark Bayross

Originally a drum & bass DJ at the age of 15, Curtis Lynch Junior has since moved onto reggae and dancehall. Now aged 22, his production and writing credits include Beenie Man, Adam F, Don Ricardo, Red Rat, Spragga Benz and the Gorillaz.

THE CHASE is the first single from his forthcoming debut album THE GUEST LIST (so called presumably because half the world’s r n’ b and dancehall population is featured on it – many of the above, plus Kele Le Roc, Shola Ama, General Degree and Damage).

With JP of the Ignorants rapping over a low-slung groove, adorned with strings, piano and the syrupy tones of Dyanna Fearon, THE CHASE is a highly polished slice of urban funk.
