The D4 – Party

Single Review by Mark Bayross

The D4’s debut album 6TWENTY has already garnered a respectable amount of praise from everyone who likes their grooves dirty and their rock retro garage.

The anthemic PARTY is an obvious choice of follow-up single, and, like the rest of the New Zealanders’ output, sounds like frontman Jimmy Christmas racing his bandmates to the end of the song’s two-minute-40-second duration.

The single is backed by new song OUTTA BLUES (which sounds bizarrely like Chas & Dave fronting The Stooges) and a typically hyperactive cover of the expletive-strewn Devil Dogs song NORTH SHORE BITCH.

Coming soon to a festival near you…
