Five O’Clock Heroes – Head Games

Single Review by Mark Bayross

Fresh from supporting The Bravery at two huge New York shows and now in the midst of a headline tour of the UK, Five O’Clock Heroes release HEAD GAMES as a taster for their forthcoming Eli Janney-produced debut album.

With a more late 70s spiky post-punk sound than their touring buddies, HEAD GAMES is a competent if uninspiring addition to the current indie darling sound, and the inclusion of the almost identical-sounding HOLIDAY as a B-side doesn’t help much.
