Genre-hopping Aussies Gerling have been a bit quiet since their debut album two years ago, but they’re back and they have a sophomore release, HEADZCLEANER, on its way. So here’s the first single from it, produced by Josh ‘Addicted To Bass’ Abrahams.
As with Gerling’s previous work, this is nowhere near as musically inventive as the band thinks they are. It jangles and whirrs in a White Stripes-meets-Super Furry Animals kind of way and I have to admit, sashayed in one ear and out the other.
Maybe it’ll grow on me…
