Damage – So What If I

Single Review by Mark Bayross

SO WHAT IF I is the fourth single to be taken from Ms Emma Bunton’s band’s latest album SINCE YOU’VE BEEN GONE and, like its predecessors, is so mind-blowingly dull that MI6 should consider using it for erasing memories or something.

Despite the press release’s laughable claim that Damage are “unique” and have “driving rhythms”, there is nothing here to elevate this above every other uninspired, over-produced, insincere, third-rate r ‘n’ b sludge that has polluted MTV for the last decade.

Of course, it’s bound to go Top Ten – soul doesn’t sell anymore.
