Muse – New Born

Single Review by Mark Bayross

The Teignmouth trio continue their assault on the charts with the second taster from their long-awaited second album, ORIGIN OF SYMMETRY. PLUG IN BABY saw Muse hit the accelerator pedal and this one sees them mount pavements, ploughing through crates of fruit and sending pedestrians crashing to the ground.

After a bluesy piano intro, the guitars kick off and Matt Bellemy’s voice soars skyward in that all-too familiar fashion. Sure, this is nothing new from Muse, but then they are currently selling out venues across Europe, so what do they care?

If you want experimentation, go get “Kid A”.
